Meet Our Interim District Superintendent Rev. Mark Bane
 It’s a new year that holds new possibilities for us all. Paul states the following in  Ephesians 3:20-21: Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or  imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. I believe this text to be true for every believer and every church on the New Mexico  District. I am praying that you will experience immeasurably more as we partner  together to work to depopulate hell in New Mexico. The great news, as Paul states here,  is that our success is not about our gifts, strengths, personality, resources, talents, etc.  Paul reminds us that the one element necessary to be immeasurably more people is His  power, not ours. Let’s begin asking and imagining together again!  Cheri and I are completely humbled and extremely honored to serve as interim District  Superintendent of the great New Mexico District. We are excited to serve in partnership  with you for the next 7-8 months. I invite everyone to join Cheri and I as we pray that our  short time together will be immeasurably more for His Kingdom.  After meeting with the District Advisory Board, we have hit the ground running. I want  to share a few points of information with you as we begin our journey together.  1. I am available at any time if you need assistance. My personal cell phone  number is 913.251.0933. I travel 23-26 days a month in my other job so you might  catch me up in the air. If you can’t reach my cell, please call 816.288.9488. My  acting office assistant Steve Suttles will get a message to me ASAP.  2. I have agreed with General Superintendent Dr Filimao Chambo and the DAB to  be on the district one week a month. Our first week was December 17-22. The next week will be January 21-26. The week of February 24-28 is also scheduled. I will,  after making some schedule adjustments, publish the remaining weeks in the next  Mission. When I am on the district, I plan to meet with pastors and plan training  events. Please feel free to call at any time I am not on the district.  3. Our first training event EMT (Evangelism Multiplication Training) is designed  to teach laity and clergy how to meet pre-Christians, initiate conversations,  develop relationships, connect them with Christ and ultimately develop them into  mature, productive, reproducing believers. This event will be held at the Holiday  Park Church in Albuquerque on Friday, January 26 (6:00-8:30 pm) and Saturday,  January 27 (8:30am-4:30pm). We will also have Michael Thompson, the Global  Church attorney with us for the event. Michael will be sharing about the value of  protecting local churches from legal exposure.
